As an asteroid of relationship, Psyche is of course extremely important in synastry. Psyche is then activated by a planet belonging to the other person, and this interaspect generates a magnetic attraction, because its purpose is to reveal something buried deep within us.
Indeed, Psyche’s qualities are not immediately accessible to us, and in order to find the energy to develop them, we must experience a sense of lack—as if something that belongs to the other resonates in echo with a void within ourselves, one that we are then able to fill. This marks the beginning of Venusian labours that lead us to draw upon Psyche’s wisdom and integrity in order to better honour Venus, and to find within her both our self-worth and the key to fulfilling relationships.

As we can clearly see, the relationships that carry us away and transform us are anything but random. The other person also comes to speak to us about ourselves. Valentine’s Day may indeed be a commercial celebration, but it can also be an opportunity to ask ourselves where we stand in our relationship with Venus, and which planet in our partner’s chart awakens our Psyche. Chances are high that the qualities of that planet are precisely what we need in order to access Psyche’s buried wisdom.
